Why a decal
Fired In, Not Printed On
Unlike sublimation, a ceramic decal is designed to be fired, not simply printed onto a surface. Once you fire it in your own kiln, the image is fused into the glaze rather than sitting on top of it, so it won’t fade or peel with everyday use.
Fired onto dinnerware, the finished piece is FDA-certified safe and dishwasher-safe. The same decal can also be fired onto plaques, tiles, and other ceramic surfaces that aren’t intended for food use.
